Former President Koroma Arrives in Freetown Following Police Invitation

Former President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma has arrived in Freetown after being invited by the Sierra Leone Police for questioning regarding the failed coup attempt on November 26th.

The ex-president is set to honor a summons by the Sierra Leone Police, requesting his presence for questioning in connection to the recent failed coup plot.

Scheduled to report tomorrow, Dr. Koroma will be accompanied by his legal team and high-ranking officials from his APC party. This development arises following the unfolding of a suspected coup attempt on November 26th, 2023, which has gripped the nation in apprehension.

The office of former President Ernest Bai Koroma issued a swift and resolute response today upon receiving an invitation from the Sierra Leone Police. Reacting to what they described as relentless attempts to besmirch his reputation, the former president wasted no time in making his way to Freetown to cooperate with ongoing investigations.

“Silently, former President Koroma has observed relentless efforts to assassinate his character, damage his reputation, and tarnish his legacy. Despite ignoring the baseless accusations, firmly believing in the triumph of truth, they have persisted. The recent attempt to link him to the events of 26 November is utterly misplaced and inconsistent with his peaceful character of the statesman” they states

Our God that always sees in darkness shall surely bring to the open the wickedness of man behind the scenes. God is not mocked and vengeance belongs to him forever. The blood of the innocent souls who died in the deadly Coup and previously, have cried to God for vengeance.
