The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in the State of Kuwait has urged all Sierra Leonean nationals to review and adhere to emergency preparedness guidelines recently issued by Kuwait’s General Department of Civil Defense.
According to the Embassy, the circular which was received via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait provides comprehensive safety instructions aimed at enhancing preparedness, minimizing risk, and ensuring a coordinated response during emergencies.
Sierra Leonean nationals are advised to familiarize themselves with the guidelines and to follow official announcements from Civil Defense authorities and verified media channels. The Embassy emphasized that spreading unverified information or rumours could cause confusion and panic.
Key guidance for nationals includes:
- Keeping the Civil Defense guidelines accessible and reviewing them regularly.
- Following official announcements and updates from Civil Defense authorities and verified media sources only.
- Remaining calm and cooperative during emergencies to support coordinated response efforts.
The Embassy encouraged all nationals to take the advisory seriously and to act responsibly to safeguard themselves and others in emergency situations.
