Abdulai Caulker, the National Security Coordinator of the Office of National Security (ONS), announced today that the Lantern Parade has been postponed.

The decision comes after it was revealed that a few individuals connected to the failed November coup are still at large.

During a press conference held at the Miatta Conference Hall in the Hall-Youyi building, Caulker addressed the public, stating that the overall security situation in the country is stable. He explained that the suspension of the Lantern Parade, a major event that attracts large crowds, was necessary to maintain public safety while authorities continue efforts to apprehend the remaining fugitives.

While the parade is a cherished tradition for many, Caulker assured citizens that the authorities are prioritizing security. The ONS further confirmed that normal daily activities will continue as usual.

As the search for the remaining suspects continues, the public has been urged to stay vigilant and cooperate with law enforcement.
