SLPP Presidential hopeful, Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio is expected in Freetown in the early hours of Sunday 11th October, 2015.

Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio is one of the leading SLPP flagbearer contender. Supporters of the former head of state and SLPP 2012 flagbearer say they will be welcoming their charismatic leader in a very colourful way on Sunday.

In an interview with the Global Times last night, Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio said that, creating a level playing field for all SLPP flagbearer contenders will be in the best interest of the Party.

“I strongly believe that I have what it takes to win the flagbearer election and the forthcoming Presidential elections… This time no one can stop us… The writing is on the wall that, the SLPP will form the next government in 2017/18”, said Brig. (Rtd.) Julius Maada Bio.
