The National Medical Supplies Agency (NMSA) has received a significant boost to its operational efficiency following the donation of modern warehouse handling equipment worth over Le 3 million from the Global Fund and UNICEF.
The consignment includes three forklifts, installation, and maintenance tools aimed at improving the agency’s warehousing and distribution systems for drugs and medical supplies across Sierra Leone.
Officials say the equipment will greatly enhance NMSA’s capacity to manage inventory and streamline logistics, allowing for quicker and more effective distribution of essential medicines to healthcare facilities nationwide.

By improving warehouse operations and loading efficiency, the initiative is expected to reduce delays in the supply chain, ultimately strengthening service delivery.
