The Deputy Minister and Secretary General of the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Umaru Napoleon Koroma has demeaned the main opposition party, All People’s Congress (APC).

The Deputy Justice Minister was speaking to the press ahead of their National Delegate’s Conference at Bintumani that will end tomorrow.

He affirmed that the SLPP is a “United, progressive, responsible and responsible party.” He said these qualities will warrant electorates to choose the SLPP instead of a “fragmented, unprogressive and irresponsible opposition [APC].”

Koroma praised the SLPP for their effort to invest in human Capital development since they took power in 2018.

The SLPP is holding their Delegate’s Conference to retrospect on their five years. The party is evaluating what they promised in their manifesto and the progress they have made.

Senior party members adorned their praise for the Bio Administration for the steering the country as per their manifesto irrespective of the COVID-19 Pandemic and Russia-Ukraine Conflict.

The SLPP has already chose Julius Maada Bio as their Presidential Candidate for the June 2023 elections.

In another news, Samura Kamara of the main opposition APC has intimated that he will officially declare for the party’s flagbearer position in Makeni.

If the APC members choose Samura Kamara, it will be the second time he will be contesting against Maada Bio after he lost in the 2018 elections.
