Sierra Leone’s new Minister of Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah has met with Pakistan female educational activist, Malala Yousafzai.
Reacting to the engagement at the Women’s deliver 2023 conference in Rwanda, Minster Bah states that “It‘s great to start thinking of bridging my activist world with my new responsibility as #Sierra Leone’s Minister of Information and Civic Education and it doesn’t get better than these fabulous folk I have been chatting with the# women delivered 2023 in # Rwanda.”
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani female education activist and the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize laureate at the age of 17. She is the world’s youngest Nobel Prize laureate, the second Pakistani and the first Pashtun to receive a Nobel Prize.
Yousafzai is a human rights advocate for the education of women and children in her native homeland, Swat, where the Pakistani Taliban had at times banned girls from attending school. Her advocacy has grown into an international movement, and according to former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, she has become Pakistan’s most prominent citizen.
The theme, Vision, and Objectives of the conference were selected by the WD2023 Advisory Group, in consultation with over 5,00 advocates who Participated in design Sprints and Women’s Deliver’s Global Community Consultation.
