The Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) has announced that the 2024/25 academic year will officially commence on Monday, September 9, 2024. Schools across the country are expected to reopen on this date.

In a statement issued today, the ministry reminded school administrators, teachers, parents, and students to prepare for the new school term. All schools have been instructed to begin teaching on the first day of classes.

“Learning will begin immediately, and we urge all parents to ensure their children are present from day one,” the ministry emphasized. Teachers and administrators are also being urged to make all necessary arrangements for a smooth start.

The ministry further called on parents to prepare their children for the academic year, encouraging prompt attendance as lessons will start without delay.
