Former Miss Correctional Center, Sia Kembe, a former convict of manslaughter who was granted presidential pardon by President Julius Maada Bio months after winning the Miss Correctional Center Beauty Pageant, in a radio interview has explained her future plans.

Kembe starts by thanking the Correctional Center and the organized of Miss Correctional Center 2019, Mohamed Mutala Kamara of Salone Jamboree for giving her the platform and also regain her freedom. She also rendered a special thank you message to President Bio for pardoning her.

She continued that five years after prison has not been an easy journey for her but she is grateful to Allah.

She disclosed that after her released, she continued her education where she sat the Basic Education Certificate Examination [BECE] in 2021 and the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination in 2024 but yet to get her university requirement and she is on the verge of retaking her exam.

According to her, she wants to be a professional accountant after her university education. She also intends to help women in prison as a way of contributing to the country’s development.

She called on the public to render assistance towards her education in making sure she achieved her dream of becoming a professional accountant.

She concluded by advising youths especially women to stay away from crime to become better citizens.

She mentioned few names who she said played a vital role in her release and promised not to involved in any form of crime in the future.
