The Sierra Leone Minister of Youth Affairs, Mohamed O. Bangura has on an official visit to New York, met with the United Nations Secretary General’s envoy on youths, Jayathma Wickramanayake.
The Minister posted on Facebook a lovely photo taken with her Excellency, Jayathma Wickramanayake with a caption of him being honored to have had a productive conversation with her.
The first part of his message on facebook reads: “It’s been an honor to have such a detailed, cordial and productive conversation with my friend and ally, the United Nations Secretary General’s Envoy on Youth, Her Excellency Jayathma Wickramanayake during my official mission to New York, USA”
In the second part, he disclosed that, they discussed the progress they continue to make in the implementation of the UN 2030 Youth Strategy and the strides President Bio’s government is making to advance the human capital of the youth in Sierra Leone.
He ended that they are committed to even more collaboration between their offices for the development of the youth of Sierra Leone and Africa.
