The Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED), has on the 19th October, 2023 convened the fourth quarter ministerial Development Partnership Committee (DEPAC) meetings.
The event assembles Sierra Leone’s Development Partnership Committee (DEPAC) on the bid to steer the 4th quarter meeting at the Foreign Service Academy, Freetown.
The central focus was on formulating the Medium-Term National Development Plan (MTNDP 2024-2028) on the theme: Towards a Transformational Medium Term National Development Plan.
Madam Kenyeh Barlay, Minister of Planning and Economic Development(MoPED) served as chairperson for the engagement as was joined by the UN Resident Coordinator Babatunde Ahonsi and World Bank Country Manager Abdu Muwonge, co-chairs.
The event also captured conversations around integrating the BIG 5 GAME CHANGERS into the country’s socioeconomic fabric by 2030 as well as emphasising on digital solutions, climate change, renewable energy, and food security as key priorities in the current dispensation.
