The National Assets and Government’s Property Commission, in collaboration with State House and key ministries, conducted a thorough inspection of the Presidential Lodge in Bo on Friday to assess its current condition and inventory government assets housed at the facility.
The inspection team, led by Chairman/Commissioner David Panda-Noah, included representatives from the Ministry of Works and Public Assets, the Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs, and State House. The delegation was welcomed by Resident Minister of the South, Mr. John Abu, and Southern Province Provincial Secretary, Mr. Abu Bakarr Kamara.
During the day-long exercise, officials meticulously examined the facility and cataloged its assets to update the government’s Asset Register. Commissioner Panda-Noah emphasized the importance of the exercise in ensuring the sustainability and maintenance of public property, a core function of the Commission.
“Our responsibility is to safeguard the government’s assets and ensure their proper management,” Panda-Noah stated. He confirmed that a detailed report on the lodge’s status would be compiled and shared with relevant authorities.
The Commission extended its gratitude to the ministries and local government representatives for their cooperation and reaffirmed its commitment to expanding similar inspections nationwide.
