The National Association of SLPP Bloggers has firmly distanced itself from the newly formed Salone Association of Bloggers, reportedly led by civil activist Joseph Sannoh of Heal Salone.

In a strongly worded statement released yesterday, the SLPP-aligned blogging organization described Mr. Sannoh’s claims of representing all bloggers, including the National Association of SLPP Bloggers, as “misleading and unsubstantiated.”

The association, which operates under the endorsement of President Julius Maada Bio, the SLPP National Secretary General, and the Ministry of Information and Civic Education, has been a loyal advocate for the SLPP for over seven years. It emphasized its autonomy, professionalism, and commitment to advancing the SLPP’s “Big Five Agenda.”

“We categorically assert that the National Association of SLPP Bloggers is not, and will not be, affiliated with any mixed political party blogging association or unauthorized entity,” the statement read.

The group further underscored its exclusive focus on promoting the SLPP’s vision and policies through established party channels. It also pledged neutrality in all internal party elections, including the 2028 flag bearer race, vowing to support only candidates elected during the National Delegates’ Conference.

While the association acknowledged the right of individuals to form blogging groups, it cautioned that political blogging is a “sacred responsibility” requiring strict adherence to party structures.

The release reaffirms the association’s dedication to serving as the SLPP’s “trusted voice” across social media platforms, reiterating its commitment to loyalty, professionalism, and the party’s values.
