The National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA) on Tuesday 21st March issued public procurement plans validation certificates to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to Complement them for their participation in the 2023 Public Procurement Plans Validation process that was held in December 2022.
The event took place at the NPPA Training Room, Lotto Building, Tower Hill, Freetown, and its Regional offices in Bo, Kenema, and Makeni.
Delivering his statement at the ceremony, the Chief Executive of the National Public Procurement Authority (NPPA), Chief Ibrahim Brima Swarray, congratulated those that went through the validation process in December 2022 and shamed those that failed to be part of the process.
He reminded MDAs present about the importance of validating their public procurement plans with the Authority (NPPA). He informed them that the Authority would be issuing out new validation process dates to MDAs that failed to be part of the first validation process.
He further informed them that institutions that would fail to be part of the process for the second time would have their procurement activities for 2023 not reviewed and endorsed by the National Public Procurement Authority. Over 150 MDAs were invited for the validation process but only 103 MDAs participated in the process.
