President Julius Maada Bio and a delegation of national stakeholders visited the National Revenue Authority (NRA) exhibit during the ongoing Sierra Leone Mining Week, providing the NRA with an opportunity to showcase its tax administration reforms.

The NRA presented an overview of key initiatives, including the Electronic Cash Register (ECR), the Product Tracing System, and the Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), all designed to enhance efficiency, promote voluntary compliance, and strengthen revenue collection across various sectors.

The visit also facilitated interaction between NRA officials and other stakeholders attending the event. The NRA team engaged with the public, addressing questions related to tax matters and the administration of extractive industry revenues.

These discussions aimed to foster transparency, educate taxpayers, and ensure the effective implementation of tax policies.

The NRA emphasized its commitment to public service and promoting a culture of tax compliance and accountability.

The authority stated its intention to continue engaging with attendees throughout Mining Week to address tax-related concerns and support national development.
