Staff of the National Revenue Authority (NRA) have expressed profound appreciation to outgoing Commissioner General Jeneba J. Bangura for her dedicated and transformative leadership during her tenure at the Authority.
In a statement acknowledging her service, the NRA family highlighted Bangura’s contribution to strengthening the institution and advancing Sierra Leone’s domestic revenue mobilisation efforts.
Her tenure was characterised by significant reforms in tax administration, taxpayer engagement and digital transformation, alongside efforts to improve the efficiency of the country’s revenue system.
NRA staff also recognised her commitment to national development and her efforts to strengthen the Authority’s role in mobilising domestic resources for Sierra Leone.
Bangura is leaving the NRA to take up a new responsibility as Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, marking a transition to another area of public service.
The NRA family said it celebrates her contributions to the Authority and the country, while wishing her success in her new role.
“Thank you for your service to the NRA and to Sierra Leone,” the Authority said in its message of appreciation.
Bangura’s transition brings an end to her tenure as Commissioner General, while her record of reforms and institutional development remains part of the NRA’s ongoing efforts to strengthen revenue administration and national development.
