The National Secretary General of the opposition All Peoples Congress (APC), Alhaji Dr. Osman Foday Yansaneh has raised alarm over plots to plant ammunitions at party office.
Yansaneh said this in a memo made available to Sierraloaded where He told party members to pay attention to security around the party office.
“Intelligence making the rounds is that our detractors intend to plant arms and ammunitions at the Party Office and then hold the Leadership of the Secretariat responsible. We have therefore heightened security alert in and around the office to obviate any such attempt by our many detractors.”, Yansaneh said.
While commenting on the development, The Grassroot commended Osman Foday Yansaneh for such prudent and result driven step in flagging up security alert to party members.
“However, the leadership of the party cannot seat by and see things go the wrong direction. We will never forget when teargas canisters were unleashed right at the party Office just after the 2018 general elections, whiles others who benefited the most are in their comfort zones.
“The grassroot want to call on the attention of our colonial masters and the international community to pay keen attention on the politics of Sierra Leone regarding this intelligence stated by the National Secretary General.
“The grassroot remain committed to the peace and sanity of Sierra Leone. We further encourage the NSG to keep his good work going and pay less attention to detractors. The direction of the APC party is in the hands of the wider majority.”
