On Thursday, April 6, 2023, the Parliament of Sierra Leone discussed and ratified bilateral agreements between Sierra Leone, Kenya and South Africa aimed at deepening diplomatic cooperation.
Parliament ratified the following treaties:
1. Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Kenya and the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone establishing a Joint Commission for Cooperation and
2. Visa Waiver Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone and the Government of the Republic of South Africa
Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation prof. David John Francis presented both treaties to parliament for ratification
Parliamentarians speaking on the motion supported the ratification of both agreements as they aim to strengthen bilateral and diplomatic cooperation between Sierra Leone, Kenya and South Africa.
