Police in Makeni have arrested a group of individuals accused of impersonating officials of the Jagaban National Executive in Mabanta Village.

According to a statement from the Jagaban National Executive, the suspects were caught engaging in fraudulent activities while falsely claiming to represent the movement. Alert community members raised concerns, prompting swift action by law enforcement officers, who apprehended the suspects. They are currently being questioned at Rogbaneh Police Station.

The Jagaban leadership distanced itself from the group, stressing that it has no connection to the activities. “We stand firmly for integrity, transparency, lawful conduct, and peaceful political engagement,” the statement said.

The Executive also commended the Sierra Leone Police for their timely action and praised residents of Mabanta Village for their vigilance. Supporters and the public were urged to remain cautious and demand proper identification from anyone claiming to act on behalf of the Jagaban team.

The statement concluded by reminding all supporters to engage only with officially recognized members of the movement and to uphold the values of peace, unity, and development.
