The Sierra Leone police community peace Radio 91.1 FM is to be expanded nationwide.

According to the Sierra Leone police, the Community Peace Radio 91.1 FM continues to bring communities closer to the Sierra Leone Police by providing timely and accurate information on the organisation’s day-to-day activities.

Furthermore, the radio is there to enhance public awareness and promote community policing. The station has developed a range of engaging programmes, including “Yeri from De Police”, “Trafficking Hours”, “Community Policing”, “Sports Hour”, among others.

These programmes are designed to keep listeners informed while fostering transparency and trust between the police and the public.

Finally, according to SLP, Plans are currently underway to expand the station’s broadcast coverage, ensuring its frequency reaches audiences across the entire country.

This expansion aims to further strengthen police–community relations and promote nationwide peace and security.
