The Harbour Police Division executed a successful raid in the Bagdad area of Moeba Community on Monday, June 16, following credible intelligence received from concerned residents.
The successful operation was led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Francis M. Tommy and his dedicated team.
Officers discovered an unfinished house that had long been under suspicion by local residents. The structure was believed to be a meeting place for various criminal activities, including theft and drug use, particularly the smoking of kush.
In a decisive move to disrupt ongoing illicit activities, police dismantled and burned the makeshift roof of the building. This action was taken to send a clear message that criminal behavior will not be tolerated in the community.
Community members have expressed their appreciation for the police’s swift action, reporting a renewed sense of safety and relief following the operation.
ASP Tommy highlighted the police’s ongoing commitment to addressing criminal hideouts and urged residents to remain vigilant and cooperative in the fight against crime.
The Harbour Police Division continues to encourage community involvement in reporting suspicious activities to enhance safety and security for all residents.
