The Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) has issued a stern warning to all Sierra Leonean political parties regarding the display of campaign materials.
In a press release published on July 4th, 2025, the PPRC reminded party leadership, members, and aspiring candidates for internal positions to immediately remove all posters, banners, and election campaign materials.
The Commission emphatically warned that the upcoming elections are not national elections, stating, “We are not in a National Elections mood.”
The PPRC further stressed that any campaign materials should be confined to party offices across the country, urging compliance to avoid further action.
“Failure to adhere to this instruction will leave the Commission with no option but to ask the Sierra Leone Police and the Local Government Councils across the country to remove those campaign materials,” the statement warned.
Political parties are advised to take the warning seriously to avoid any potential enforcement actions by local authorities.
