Solomon Jamiru Esq. has tendered his resignation as Press Secretary to President Julius Maada Bio.
Jamiru was appointed the Press Secretary on July 15, 2023, replacing Yusuf Keketoma Sandi.
Before his role as Press Secretary, Jamiru was the Deputy Minister of Information and Communications.
The reason for his resignation is not known as press time. According to State House sources, he resigned for personal reasons.

He is one of few people we call patriotic Sierra Leonean. I am very happy he has decided to step out of government job to protect his hard fought reputation.

It is nice call, but he is creating more doubt than ever. He should speak out. He has served the people of Sierra Leone for 6 good years and he’s resigned for personal reasons best known to him.
He was a public servant as much, his life was public, so anything that has to do with the office he held, should be made public thereby making him more patriotic as everyone is claiming.
He is my brother, but he needs to speak up so the public can learn and his colleagues can also make a swift move to put the country first.

We need to no the reason
It never too late to repent. But my request is that if it caused him to leave this country inorder to help us fight a corrupt system. He who fight and run away lives to fight another battle.

I guess if you are resigning from any office, it would be descent to state reason(s) for your resignation. In this case, Mr. Jamiru is not the one to tell us the reason(s) behind his resignation.
Moreover, if he (Jamiru) didn’t state any reason(s) in his letter then i don’t think if he is fear with the people of Sierra Leone
