The Ministry of Public Administration and Political Affairs held a consultative meeting with Provincial Secretaries and Chief Administrators of Local Councils to develop a Public Service Transformative Strategy.
This strategy aims to improve local governance efficiency by addressing challenges in service delivery and promoting citizen engagement.
Minister Amara Kallon highlighted the strategy’s role in governance efficacy and outlined plans to tackle identified issues.
The Ministry plans to finalize the strategy with input from various stakeholders, including international consultant Professor Aregbeshole Rafu Adewale under the UNDP.
The strategy aims to modernize governance, enhance public services, and empower local councils for better service delivery, emphasizing collaboration between government sectors and community involvement.
