Sierra Leone’s leading financial institution, Rokel Commercial Bank (RCBank), has supported the refurbishment of the IPAM Student Union government Canteen.

During the opening ceremony on Monday, May 29th, at their main campus, the Head of RCBank Marketing Unit, Mrs. Mariama Jajua, was honored by the Student Union body to do the first cutting of the ribbon.

Mrs. Jajua congratulated the Student Union body for a job well done on behalf of the RCBank Management and staff.

She expressed appreciation to the IPAM Management and staff for providing the enabling environment and described the newly refurbished canteen as spacious and conducive for lunch.

Mrs. Jajua congratulated the President of the Student Union Government, Salamatu Jagitay, for her leadership role in making this project a success.

She further confirmed that she was a member of the noble institution 15 years ago and reflected on how crowded the place used to be in the past whenever they wanted to take exams or have lunch after classes.

She described the new development as a stepping stone to many other things they have in their agenda to achieve as a student Union body.

Mrs. Jajua said, “We are here because we are in partnership with everything you do at IPAM. We know that whatever you do is for the future of this nation, not only for IPAM but for future generations yet unborn.”

She informed the students that as potential leaders of this nation, RCBank has deemed it fit to introduce a special package known as the Swag Account.

Mrs. Jajua officially launched the rainy season Swag Account promotion and confirmed to the students that for any account they open with RCBank, they will receive an umbrella to protect them from the downpour of rains.

She further encouraged the students to take advantage of this opportunity as she never had the opportunity during her days as a student. She reminded the students that the world has now become digitized and affirmed that RCBank is the answer for them to have their accounts on their phones.

Emilia T Kamara, Minister of Trade in the Student Union Body, thanked the sponsors for helping them achieve this important pillar in their manifesto.
