Samura Kamara, the Presidential candidate for Sierra Leone’s main opposition party, the All People’s Congress (APC), is scheduled to appear in court today, Wednesday, July 19, 2023, along with several others, facing charges related to corruption allegations

Kamara is in court to answer to allegations of corruption over Sierra Leone’s Chancery Building in New York.

Sierra Leone’s Anti-Corruption Commission implicated Kamara and 5 others of misappropriation of public funds and misleading the principal among other charges.

The APC Presidential Candidate has denied the allegations citing that they are politically motivated in order smear his good image.

This is the third sitting of the matter after it was adjourned in the weeks leading to the multitier election.

The previous sitting was adjourned after the first accused, Saidu Nallo break down in tears in court.
