Seacoach Sierra Leone, a prominent sea transportation service, issued a public notice on November 27, 2023, in response to the Ministry of Information and Civic Education’s announcement regarding revised curfew timings and stakeholder meetings related to airport services.
In the notice, Seacoach Express informed its valued customers scheduled to travel on specific flights (ASKY AIRLINES, ROYAL AIR MAROC, TURKISH AIRLINES, and AIRPEACE) that, effective immediately on Monday, November 27, 2023, boat departures would now be scheduled a day before. The new check-in time is set at 19:00, with departure scheduled for 19:30.
It was emphasized that this adjustment applies to the mentioned evening flights and boat schedules, namely ASKY AIRLINES, ROYAL AIR MAROC, TURKISH AIRLINES, and AIRPEACE. The daytime flight/boat schedules for Brussels Airline and Kenya Airways remain unaffected.
For arriving passengers, the notice outlined a new procedure. They are now required to stay overnight in Lungi and can catch a boat to Freetown the following morning. This directive was stated to be in accordance with the new government guidelines, and Seacoach assured customers that every effort would be made to ensure a comfortable journey.
Seacoach’s proactive communication serves as a vital link between the changing regulatory landscape and the convenience of its passengers, demonstrating a commitment to adhering to government directives while prioritizing the well-being of its clientele.
