Fostering a stronger partnership and collaboration, Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh and Finance Minister met with World Bank Country Director for Sierra Leone, Pierre Laporte, and his team on August 21, 2023.
The delegation from the World Bank included Sierra Leone Manager Abdu Muwonge and his local team.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction with the team’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing the collaborative efforts between the World Bank and Sierra Leone.
The delegation conducted a mid-term review of the partnership framework established between the two entities.
In a statement released by the Chief Minister’s office, he described the discussions with Mr. Pierre Laporte, World Bank Country Director, and Mr. Abdu Muwonge, Manager, as excellent. The Finance Minister affirmed the World Bank’s ongoing support and cooperation as they undertook the mid-term review of the country partnership framework.
“Excellent conversations with Mr Pierre Laporte, world bank country director, Mr. Abdu Muwonge, Manager, and their Sierra Leone team. With the minister of finance, we were assured of the bank’s continuous collaboration as we do a mid-term review of the country partnership framework,” he statement reads.
