The Sierra Leone Government has lifted ban on places of worship effective Monday, 16th August 2021.
This is contained in the revised measures to further combat the third wave of the COVID-19 outbreak in Sierra Leone released by the National COVID-19 Emergency Response Centre (NaCOVERC) on Friday.
The notice however said that the nationwide curfew from 11pm till 5am daily shall continue in force until otherwise determined.
The ban of sporting activities has been lifted. But only sporting activities conducted by the National Sports Authority (NSA) shall take place at the moment. Public gathering, attendance at funerals, weddings and other social events are still limited to no more than fifty (50) persons.
Drivers and passengers strongly urged to get their COVID-19 vaccination prior to all intra and inter-district travels and all prior NACOVERC measures and advisories on proper facemasking, handwashing and social distancing remaining in full force.
