According to reports by Game News, Google Translate will be receiving twenty-four new languages, with Sierra Leone Local Dialect, Krio, among the 24 new Languages.
Google says that an estimated 300 million people speak these languages on the planet.
Together with krio, Google Translate has added indigenous languages of the Americas, such as Quechua, Rani and Imatra. These languages are spoken from the Holloways to the Bolivian frontier.
According to an over-the-air update obtained by Game News, Google said it’s adding the 24 languages today.
It’s worthwhile noting that these languages can be reached so far only via typing, not via audio-based as they are in many other languages available on Translate. Google told MobilesSyrupthere that there may be errors when translating these languages into other non-English language, such as Krio to Spanish.
Lastly, Google says that its Translate app has more than one billion installs.
