The Sierra Leone Police (SLP) has disclosed that they have arrested and brought in one Musa Sesay of Fondokorie Village, Upper Tambaka Chiefdom, Karene District, with one Ero weapon containing (20) rounds armunation.
According to reports from LUC Kamakwie Division, the accused was arrested and brought in on 14 June 2022, about 08:00 hours, at Fintonia Police Post.
“Police constables 15317 and 18472 arrested and brought in one Musa Sesay of Fondokorie Village, Upper Tambaka Chiefdom, Karene District, with one Ero weapon containing (20) rounds armunation,” the report stated.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the said weapon may have been stolen from an OSD officer, PC 16181 Alimamy B Sillah attached Borlta Village, Upper Tambaka Chiefdom.
“Both suspect, Musa Sesay and the Ero weapon are presently with the Police in Kamakwie,” the report stated.
The information further indicated that the suspect has been with this weapon for over two weeks and has been using this weapon to scare women in his village, adding that the twenty live rounds ammunition contained in the magazine were found to be intact.
It was further revealed that the said OSD Officer, PC 16181 Alimamy B Sillah is presently in Guinea searching for his missing Ero.
