There have been mixed public reactions to the picture of former presidential candidate of the All Peoples Congress, Samura Kamara alleged to be sleeping in church during Saint Edwards Thanksgiving Service on Sunday.

Kamara was pictured in an Edwards blazer, head bowed and eyes slightly shut as he sat in the midst of follow Edwardians.

The picture is being circulated on social media by his detractors mocking him of old age and lack of energy.
However, some of his supporters have refuted the assertion that Samura was sleeping in church.

“He is going through his phone and they say he is sleeping. Look at picture carefully you will see that he was not sleeping,” James Conteh stated.

Another person alleged that he was reading. “Zoom the picture you will see the guy behind bowing his head like Samura reading,” he noted.

The former Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations is currently on corruption trial in relations to the New York Chancery Building saga. He has maintained his innocence throughout the trial.
