The Global Misic Awards is an entertainment event that is organized by Smart Focus Media that seeks to showcase African talents, creativity, promote and award African entertainers for their hard work and effort in entertainment industry. 

The second edition took place on the 16th April 2022 at Oriented Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria with the Theme “be positive with music”. The even saw huge talents from South Africa, Dr. Congo, Ghana, Gambia, Sierra Leone and Nigeria took it in exchange on the stage to amuse the fans.

In the category of Dancehall Artiste of the year, among the contestants were: Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, Patoranking, Star Zee , Epixode, Winky D, Bebe Cool and Burna Boy. Despite the strong rivalry the best female rapper and dancehall queen in the Sierra Leone Entertainment Industry Star Zee faced in the category, she still brings the title home as the Dancehall Artiste of The Year 2022.
