Statistics Sierra Leone has yesterday issued a press release stating that all field workers of the 2021 Mid-Term who had successfully completed and synced their data the payment of their remaining allowances had begun.
According to Stats SL, they have transferred Le16 Billion to the respective commercial banks for payments into the bank accounts of field workers.
Stats SL stated that, “Some field staff who had synced all their data to the servers to guarantee 100% work completion, submitted to Stats SL all census gadgets provided to them (tablets and power banks) and submitted their full bank details including correct BBANs, have confirmed receipts to Stats SL of payment via their respective banks.”
“However, commercial banks have been sending payment rejection alerts of some field staff to Stats SL which cannot be unconnected for the following:
1. Wrong/Incorrect BBANs;
2. Name on account number submitted not matching name to be paid; and
3. Use of one account by multiple users.”
Stats SL further announced that all field staff who had fulfilled the set of requirements are to check with their banks, noting that if their accounts are not credited after a week from now, they should do a report to their district office where they had worked.
Stats SL added that all field staff who had either not submitted their bank details and/or yet to return their tablets and power banks are advised to do so for their payment to be processed.
“Please note the deadline for submission of electronic tablets, power banks, census data and bank details is the 15th May, 2022,” Stats SL stated.
