Popular Sierra Leonean journalist, political commentator, newspaper publisher, Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden met with Leone Stars and Bo Rangers Striker, Musa Tombo on after her public lectures at the Njala Bo Campus.
On the 15th March 2022, Dr. Sylvia Blyden had a public Lecture at the Great Hall of Njala-Bo Campus where she used her personal experiences to showcase how Sustainable Development is helped if Women are protected and promoted without bias.
After her Lectures at the Njala Hall Bo Campus, she took a stroll around Bo city and met the Leone Starts Striker Musa Tombo and they took some photos. On her Facebook account she posted: “After a hugely successful Public Lecture at Njala Bo Campus, I took a stroll around Bo City. This is me and my son, Musa Tombo just now. He is staying well focused without distractions from detractors. Give him some LIKES👍 and LOVES❤️ please.”
Dr. Sylvia Blyden is a Sierra Leonean journalist, political commentator, newspaper publisher, and former Sierra Leone minister of Social Welfare, Gender and Children Affairs under erstwhile President Ernest Bai-Koroma from 2016 to 2017. She served as Special Executive Assistant to Sierra Leone’s former president Ernest Bai Koroma from 2013 to 2015.
Blyden is the founder, CEO, and publisher of Sierra Leonean newspaper Awareness Times. She is the only female news publisher in Sierra Leone, and “one of the most recognisable names in the country.”
