Syvial Olayinka Blyden has revealed how Ernest Bai Koroma, Minkailu Mansaray and 25 other APC MPs passed a law to jail anyone who refused to take part in the past Census.
Madam Sylvia Blyden explained that Ernest Bai Koroma and APC MPs in 2002 joined the SLPP to pass Laws giving Census Staff the powers to enter anybody’s house.

Madam Sylvia Blyden added that the law made by then also forced people to take part in the Census, stating that people who refused to take part were under the law to be charged to court as an offender.

Her statements came following the controversy surrounding the 2021 Midterm Census wherein the government is planning to force people to take part in the Census exercise.
