A new cash point of the Taiama Community Bank has been officially opened in Moyamba Town, marking an important step toward improving financial access in the district.

The new branch, located along Maada Hagba Road, was inaugurated on Thursday with the participation of local authorities, community members, and national representatives.

For many years, Moyamba residents have operated with only one financial institution, a situation that created challenges for both individuals and businesses. The opening of the new cash point is expected to ease congestion and make banking services more accessible to residents across the town and surrounding areas.

Speakers at the event said the establishment of the Moyamba Cash Point followed years of community appeals for better financial inclusion. They described the new facility as an opportunity to support local traders, women, and young entrepreneurs who often struggled with long queues and delays when accessing banking services.

The Taiama Community Bank expansion forms part of ongoing efforts to extend financial services to underserved communities across Sierra Leone.

With the new branch now operational, Moyamba residents will have improved access to deposits, withdrawals, and other basic banking services closer to home.
