Serious tension and confusion have ensued at the main opposition, All People’s Congress (APC) Headquarters at Brookfields, Freetown.

Videos shared on social media showed APC officials and supporters squabbling with security officials. A female injured supporters was seen rushed outside for treatment.

It is also reported that senior party officials, including Bai Mahmoud Bangura have been arrested.

Earlier today, the National Union of APC Students (NUAS) took over the party’s headquarters demanding the removal of the Chairman of the Interim Transitional Governance Committee (ITGC), Alfred Peter Conteh. The students said they have observed so many inadequacies in the 21-Man Committee towards the administration of the main opposition party.

“Alfred Peter Conteh, Chairman of the ITGC, has displayed incompetence, recklessness, rudeness, and neglect toward managing the political and social components of the party. Political administration is for people with strong academic background, skills, and attitude in management. These deficiencies automatically disqualified Peter Conteh from even supervising the APC Headquarters Toilet rooms,” the students stated.
