Three people have been arrested in Bo City for their involvement in a money-doubling scam that defrauded a local resident out of Le 18,200.
The suspects, Alhaji Kutubu of Hanson Road, Abubakarr Jah of Hard-up Lane, and Paul Max Bio (also known as Wizzy) from New Site, were apprehended after Maseray Sheriff, the victim, reported the incident to the police.
On February 15, 2025, Sheriff handed over Le 18,200 to the suspects, believing she would receive it back with interest by the end of the day. When the promise wasn’t kept, she quickly went to the authorities.
