Thousands of disgruntled timber association members are bracing up to put up a massive solidarity match to express their feelings to President Bio’s led SLPP government.

According to the Equity Newspaper, some members of the association in a recent encounter narrated how the timber logging and exportation started since 2016 and how it came to a halt as well as the various laws including National and International for it operation.

They also explained how they operate with passed APC government on to 2018 when the SLPP took over governance.

Since the logging and exportation of timber has international protocols, the SLPP government observed it for the first term of office. But there were contentions between the international arenas which warranted them to jet in the country to put proper modalities in place.

One major condition was the lifting of the ban for the logging and exportation of already cultivated timbers that they inspected. But to the greatest dismay of many victims, the situation has taken a u-turn.

What surprises many victims is the award of licenses for the exportation of timbers to different nationalities as well as the cultivation of new timber logs instead of allowing the old cultivated timbers that was inspected and was to be exported before any new cultivation as it used to be.

It should be noted that this latest ugly development has not only debarred the progress of many timber business people but has also dented the economic growth of the country as well as destroying many families.
