Dr. Kelfala Marah, one of the Co-chairs of the Tripartite Committee tasked by the government to review the June 24, 2023, general elections and previous electoral processes, recently announced that the Committee has no plans to extend its current timeline beyond the scheduled date of June 19, 2024.

Speaking at the headquarters of the opposition All Peoples Congress (APC), Dr. Marah provided updates on the Committee’s progress and ongoing activities. He emphasized that work is proceeding concurrently with Moral Guarantors and other partners across the country.

Assuring the public of meeting the deadline, Dr. Marah highlighted that there are approximately eight weeks remaining until June 19, 2024. He mentioned the involvement of numerous local and international experts who have joined the Committee on the ground to ensure the process concludes successfully within the stipulated six-month period.

The Committee has entered the third phase of its work, which involves the comprehensive review of the June 24, 2023, general elections and previous electoral events. Dr. Marah stated that they would soon begin inviting witnesses from key institutions nationwide to address queries and concerns regarding electoral processes.

During the meeting, the APC Co-Chair at the Committee affirmed their commitment to working diligently, emphasizing that they view their task as serving both the Almighty God and the nation, ensuring a better future for the next generation.
