Two men have been arrested in Magburaka town following an attempted murder of a commercial motorbike rider, police sources confirmed.

According to reports, the suspects hired a motorbike rider from a nearby village to transport them to Magburaka. During the journey, they allegedly produced a knife and attempted to strangle the rider.

The attack was interrupted when another commercial motorbike from Magburaka, carrying three passengers, arrived at the scene. Realizing they had been noticed, the suspects identified as Alie and Mohamed fled into a nearby bush.

With the assistance of vigilant villagers, the suspects were later apprehended and handed over to the police. They are currently in custody as investigations continue.

The Magburaka Police Division was commended for its swift response, which led to the successful arrest of the suspects and prevented a potentially fatal crime.
