The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Sierra Leone has conducted a sexual health and rights conference with the Ministry of Health and Sanitation and other partners.
The Minister of Health, Austin Demby led the conference, which included the launch of the country’s FP2030 that seeks to help and ensure universal access to family planning and reduce maternal death in the country.
In her statement, the Minister maintaining that there’s just hoped for the country in ensuring that there health sector is been very proactive in implementation of different quicker health responses as this came as part of his sustainable health campaign for all in the country.
The Representative of the UN Population Fund to Sierra Leone, Nadia Rasheed said family planning helps to save lives, empower women, and reduce poverty. She expressed appreciation in the role of a co-host at the conference where there were several commitments by individuals and the minster himself to help protect and save lives of Sierra Leoneans.
