Representatives from the world’s leading child rights organization, UNICEF, have engaged with the Bo District Council to strengthen the existing collaboration and working relationship.
UNICEF Sierra Leone maintained that the District Councils are key in driving sustainable development initiatives in communities for a positive outcome at every time.
The engagement hosted the chairman, Victor Hindowa and the discussions were focused on how their collaboration can be strengthened to keep advancing the rights of children in the district and the country by extension.
As they work to their core mandate in Sierra Leone being to guarantee a better quality of life for the children and the mothers, they also paid a check visit at the o government hospital where they were informed about the operations of the hospital and existing challenges as well as having a tour to look at the medical stores, special care bay unit and the oxygen plant which are all supported by the UNICEF.
