The University of Innovation and Technology (UNIMTECH) will host Dr. Victor Oladokun, Senior Adviser to the President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), as its keynote speaker for the 2026 Congregational Lecture.
Dr. Oladokun will deliver the lecture on “Producing Job Creators” on Thursday, 5 February 2026, as part of UNIMTECH’s congregation celebrations. Degree conferrals and diploma awards will follow on Friday and Saturday, 6th and 7th February.
The lecture will explore the role of universities in fostering enterprise, innovation, and employment, aligning with UNIMTECH’s strategic focus on using higher education as a driver of national development. UNIMTECH operates four academic schools — Public Administration, Social Sciences, Applied Sciences, and Technology — embedding entrepreneurship and problem-solving across teaching, research, and community engagement.
Dr. Oladokun, an internationally recognised communications and media professional, previously served as Director of Communication for the AfDB Group and currently advises the AfDB President on communications and stakeholder engagement. He holds degrees in History and Political Science, Communication, and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership, and is a member of the British Academy of Management and the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria.
UNIMTECH officials, including Chancellor Prof. Paul Kamara and Acting Vice-Chancellor Prof. Osman Sankoh, said the lecture would provide students and staff with insights on leadership, innovation, and enterprise development.
