The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in the United Arab Emirates has drawn the attention of its nationals on the recent announcement of a two-month period of amnesty by the United Arab Emirates Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security.
The amnesty period has started on the 1st September and would end on the 31st October 2024. During this period, individuals staying in the country illegally after their tourists or residency visas had expired, would be allowed to regularize their visa status without facing fines for overstay, administrative fees or ban.
Different immigration centers have been set up in all the Emirates where individuals can apply from or online through the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security website.
Accordingly, the Embassy encourage all Sierra Leonean nationals in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and all the other Emirates in the United Arab Emirates to make use of this opportunity before the deadline.
The Embassy reaffirms its commitment to serve the interest and welfare of its nationals in the UAE.
