The Administration of the University of Sierra Leone (USL) has announced that the 2021/2022 Congregation is slated for the 12th, 13, and 14th April 2023 at the Adjai Crowther Amphitheatre, Fourah Bay College Campus, Mount Aureol, Freetown, commencing at 10:00 am each day.
USL made this announcement in a press release issued today to inform graduands of the graduation ceremony.
According to the University, all graduands are expected to be seated by 8:00 am, and the Congregation ceremony shall be conducted in the following sequence:
Fourah Bay College – Wednesday, 12th April 2023
Institute of Public Administration and Management – Thursday, 13th April 2023
College of Medicine and Allied Health Sciences, and School of Postgraduate Studies Friday – 14th April 2023.
The release further stated that graduands (FBC and IPAM) are required to collect their academic regalia and invitation cards at the Amphitheatre, FBC Campus, effective Tuesday, 4th April 2022 between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm.
The deadline for the distribution of academic regalia and invitation cards is Saturday, 8th April 2023. There will be no distribution exercise on Friday because of the Good Friday holiday.
Also, graduands are informed that the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank “Mobile Tellers” will be on FBC Campus effective Tuesday, 4th April, 2023 between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm for ease of payment of the Congregation Fees.
The deadline for payment of Congregation Fees is Saturday, 8th April 2023. There will be no service on Friday, 7th April 2023.
Meanwhile, graduands are informed that the Berry Street route to FBC Campus will be closed to all vehicular traffic except for designated buses transporting graduands (free of cost) and their invited guests (at a cost).
Furthermore, while the Leicester axis to FBC Campus will be opened to vehicular traffic, only private vehicles of designated guests of the University would be allowed to get to campus.
Private vehicles of other invited guests should park at the Havelock Grounds at Kortright; and guests would join designated buses to get to campus at a cost, while graduands would be transported free of cost.
