The U.S. Embassy in Freetown, Sierra Leone has announced that they would be closed on Monday, February 17, 2025, in observance of Presidents’ Day.

The announcement was made via Twitter (X). The Embassy also informed the public that normal operations would resume on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

In the official statement, the U.S. Embassy wrote:

“The U.S. Embassy will be closed for official business today February 17 in honor of President’s Day – U.S. holiday and tomorrow February 18 in honor of Armed Forces Day – Salone holiday. The Embassy will resume official business on Wednesday February 19.”

The notice serves as a reminder to individuals and entities seeking consular services to plan their visits accordingly.
