The Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) Western Region has endorsed Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh as running mate for President Bio in the June 2023 elections.

Speaking on behalf of the Region, the Chairman Ibrahim Tawa Conteh informed party members at their 13th Delegates Conference that the entire executive is supporting the vice president.

Honourable Conteh said the Region’s executive believes in Juldeh Jalloh.

This announcement comes after several speculation that President Bio intends to shun the vice president in seeking his second bid at State House. This speculation heightened when Dr. Kandeh Kolleh Yumkella supported an alliance with the SLPP -subsequently an imminent return to the party from the National Grand Coalition (NGC).

Jalloh is serving as vice president and has held the position since the SLPP won the 2018 elections.
