Why I Accepted to President Bio’s Spokesman – Alpha Kanu Speaks Out

The Presidential Spokesman who doubles as the Resident Minister of North-West Region Alpha Kanu has on an video disclosed the reason to accepting President Bio’s Spokesman mantle.

Alpha Kanu who was a former strong piller of the opposition party, the All Peoples Congress (APC) few years ago pleaded allegiance to the ruling party, Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and has been a key decision maker in governance.

His sudden move to the opposition party was considered by many Sierra Leoneans, including former party stakeholders as treachery. In Alpha Kanu:s mind eye, he is only serving his beloved country regardless the party in power.

As the Sierra Leoneans have been in dark all this while to the actions of Alpha Kanu’s treachery (as many alleged), giving testimonies on a meeting with ket stakeholders in Washington D.C, USA, Alpha unveiled who he was moved by President Bio’s attributes of tolerance and magnanimity.

Addressing the gather of distinguish guests, Alpha Kanu went on to remind that he was then the Spokesman of the opposition party, APC and that he also used to be the presidential spokesman for the erstwhile President of Sierra Leone Ernest Bai Koroma.

Alpha Kanu finally spilling the beanss on the floor disclosed that he joined the new direction (Bio government) for national unity and cohesion. He continued that for the love he has for Sierra Leone, he offered himself as the bridge to connect the two sides of the river.

“I offered myself as the bridge for the entire river…” Alpha Kanu said.

He went on that those attributes of the President were among other forces that inspired and boost his transfer to the Sierra Leone Peoples Party.

Mr. Alpha Kanu the reason you gave for serving the PAOPA government is not true. You were a strong member of the APC which has structures. Honestly when you were invited by the PAOPA government to serve the nation, you could have contacted your party structures which actually made you what you are today and tell them you want to foster Peace between the two parties. Indeed, it is your right and responsibility to serve this nation but you have to be grateful and respectful to the party that makes you popular. Unfortunately,Mr. Kanu you did not observe those simple protocols.. You accepted the offer without even calling your supporters in Port Loko to inform them. This shows that you are only serving your personal interest rather than the national interest. My advice to you is continue with your PAOPA reigm and don't think you can decide us any more.
